She loves lifting heavy things, burning out her muscles and tabatas. She hates running and just won't do it. She loves to cook and developed a love for fitness in part to counterbalance her love for cooking and eating food....ALL food...is her weakness.

Amanda’s CrossFit career began the same way many great decisions are made, on a dare. She went in to teach Yoga and instead took a CrossFit class. When she couldn’t walk the next day, she knew she’d found something awesome and hasn’t looked back since. That was December of 2015. She earned her L1 in 2016 and her L2 in 2017.

Her favorite part of being a CrossFit trainer is helping people find their own strength and build the healthiest life possible. She loves deadlifts, box over burpees, double unders, peanut butter omelets, sushi, bison burgers, tequila and sake. (Not in that order)

CrossFit L1 Coach

Specializations
HIIT
CrossFit
Group Fitness

HSN Performance Nutrition Certification

5 months post-op from her 3rd ACL tear, Jenny started dabbling in functional fitness. When DSP affiliated with CrossFit, she jumped in with both feet and got to know barbells, kettlebells, and all the girls quite well. She also leads our nutrition program.

Jenny loves how every movement is taught from its foundation, reinforcing safe form and technique that actually prevents re-injury. With the right cueing and coaching, her squats are both deeper and less painful than ever before. She’s now stronger than ever before, and regularly does and lifts things she never dreamed she could. CrossFit helped her break emotional, mental, and physical barriers in her life, and she’s beyond thankful that she found it when she did.

Stephanie is our unicorn, born and raised in East Nashville. As a child, she loved track and field. Through hard work and discipline, she was able to earn a full scholarship in track to the University of Southern Mississippi. After graduation, she coached high school track for five years and taught water aerobics and group fitness classes at community centers.

Along with the classes she teaches for us, she trains, mentors, and motivates young athletes and at-risk teens through her business DuBoseFit. Her favorite part of coaching is how it lets her connect, both physically and spiritually, with people from all walks of life to help them conquer their goals.

JenH2019.jpg

Jen Hartsel
CrossFit L1 Coach

Specializations
Weight Training
Sports Conditioning
Strength & Resistance Training
Swimming

Jen is a former collegiate swimmer who found CrossFit while looking for something to do that didn’t involve a pool.

She’d always loved the weight lifting and dry parts of her college training that happened on dry land, and was looking to incorporate that in a new fitness endeavor. All it took was one day, and Jen fell in love with CrossFit. Little did she know, it was exactly what she was looking for, and then some.

Since she learned from great coaches and mentors, it should come as no surprise that she discovered her passion for developing and mentoring athletes herself.
